Our story

We’re parents ourselves.

We captured some big moments with our own kids, a lot of our friends wanted one too, so we built Next Big Moment earlier this year.

The idea is simple. Kids love seeing themselves in a story, and the moments that feel huge to them, a new baby, a first day, a birthday, deserve more than a photo on a phone. So we make picture books where your child is the hero of their own next big moment.

Every book starts with a free preview, so you see their cover and first pages before you pay anything. A real person looks at every preview before it goes out. Nothing is printed until you have seen the finished book.

What we care about

• Their photos stay private. We use a photo only to draw their character, then delete it. Every upload deletes itself after 72 hours as a backstop.
• Honest about what we show you. The children on this site are fictional sample families. We never use a real child’s photo, name or book in our marketing.
• Made to be kept. A square 8 x 8 in book with their name on the cover and your dedication inside.
